Diablo 3 LAUNCHED!

Well, evil is back, folks. Time to strap on your leather boots, adjust the strap on your belt, and brandish that newly-sharpened sword!

Naturally, servers may be a little slow at launch, as expected. Once you finally get in, we hope you have a blast with Diablo 3! It has been a long time waiting for the next installment, and it's pretty exciting that it's finally here.

As for the forums, we have a Diablo 3 section running here, so pop on over when you're taking a game break and discuss away. There has been some discussion on setting up game group(s) over here, so head over there if you're interested in playing with some other Blizzsector users.

Also, there should be a Vent server (voice server) set up to use. You can head over to the Vent download page to download and set up Ventrilo (if the voice server or login info changes, it will be shared on the forum as needed).

Diablo 2 ladder reset

Diablo II Ladder Reset – May 2

As we all anxiously await the release of Diablo III on May 15, we invite you to come enjoy one last hurrah in Diablo II as we reset the ladder the morning of May 2. We anticipate the realms could be down for up to six hours during the reset, and during that time all existing ladder characters will be converted to non-ladder. All characters and items being converted to non-ladder will remain intact, but once converted these characters will no longer have access to ladder content such as creating ladder-only rune words.

This ladder reset, like all those before it, creates a clean slate where all ladder characters begin at level 1 with no previous items to help them. To participate, simply wait until the Diablo II realms return to service on May 2, log in to Battle.net, and tick the “Ladder Character” checkbox when creating a new character. You can track ladder character leveling progress by clicking on the Ladder button from the main Diablo II in-game Battle.net interface.

Blizzard Entertainment, Inc. today announced that Diablo^® III, the next chapter in its critically acclaimed action role-playing game series, will be unleashed from the Burning Hells on May 15. Starting that day, gamers with a thirst for fast-paced action and adventure will be able to purchase Diablo III at retailers throughout the United States, Canada, Europe, South Korea, Southeast Asia, Australia, New Zealand, and the regions of Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macau. In addition, gamers in the regions above as well as in Mexico, Argentina, Chile, and Brazil will be able to buy Diablo III digitally via Blizzard’s Battle.net^® website.

Players in the listed Latin American countries and in Russia will be able to purchase Diablo III at local retail locations starting June 7. Digital availability for the Russian version of the game will also begin June 7. In addition to the English version, Diablo III will be fully localized into Latin American Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, French, German, European Spanish, Italian, Polish, Russian, Korean, and Traditional Chinese.

Blizzard also kicked off global digital presales for Diablo III today. Would-be wizards, witch doctors, demon hunters, barbarians, and monks throughout the world should head to Blizzard Entertainmentiablo III now to reserve their digital copies.
